Dr Maya Angelou, the African American poet and writer, discovered Robert Burns when she was eight. 'Angelou on Burns' is an hour long documentary for TV and theatrical release. Funded by BBC and the Scottish Screen lottery. Winner Best Entertainment Programme at the CRE Race in the Media Awards 1996. Finalist in the Media Net Awards Munich Film Festival 1996. Bafta Scotland nominee 1997.
