ON BURNS’
Dr Maya Angelou, the African American poet
and writer, discovered Robert Burns when she was eight. 'Angelou on Burns'
is an hour long documentary for TV and theatrical release, funded by BBC and
the Scottish Screen lottery. Winner Best Entertainment Programme at the CRE
Race in the Media Awards 1996. Finalist in the Media Net Awards Munich Film
Festival 1996. Bafta Scotland nominee 1997.
‘SUZANNE
BONNAR: THE BLACKSBURG CONNECTION’
Jazz and blues singer SUZANNE BONNAR travelled
to America to find the other side of her life. This award winning half-hour
arts documentary traces her journey to discover her family and musical roots.
It was funded by BBC Scotland with TX in Scotland and UK. Elly
Taylor - Winner First Director Award, Celtic Film Festival. Finalist in CRE
Race in the Media Awards. Winner Bronze medal at International New York TV
Festival 1995.
